INDIAN ORCHARD, MASSACHUSETTS
The Heatbath Technical Center for Metal Finishing is located at our Indian Orchard facility. Our state-of-the-art laboratory houses our research and development, quality control and customer support laboratories. A fully functional pilot line is available for processing customer parts and for prototyping new finishing processes. Our highly trained staff includes Technical Service Representatives, Chemists and Waste Treatment and Environmental experts.
Production capabilities at this facility include the manufacturing of products for all of our product lines, with bulk blending and shipping capacities for oil quenchants. Shipments are in the form of drum, tote and tanker truck volumes.
The Chicago manufacturing facility was opened in 1954. Centrally located, this facility conveniently supplies both Heatbath and Park products throughout the Midwest. This plant has the capability to blend and ship bulk quantities of a multitude of liquid products; phosphates, black oxide and cleaners. Liquid batch sizes can vary from 55 to 3000-gallons. Powdered products are also manufactured in Chicago, and can be shipped in single drum to full truckload quantities.
A quality control laboratory tests each batch of blended product prior to pack out to confirm both the quality and accuracy of the blend.
Detroit, Michigan is the largest Heatbath / Park Metallurgical production facility. Our plant is equipped with bulk storage silos for raw materials, a tank farm for quenchant raw materials and finished goods, and has capabilities for the bulk blending of quenchants and shipping of heat-treating salts.
The Detroit plant also houses our Specialty Chemical Division, which manufactures Parko products, a line of liquid and paste polishing compounds for use in automotive, industrial and marine applications.
Two Technical Service Laboratories are located within our Detroit facility:
A full service heat treating laboratory, servicing Park Metallurgical heat-treating customers with a research and development lab, a customer service department and quality control test facility. Technical Service Representatives, Chemists and Metallurgists are available for consultation and training.
In addition, a second laboratory is staffed with Chemists to assist Heatbath Corporation’s plating customers. This second lab concentrates on servicing the decorative plating, zinc plating and electroless nickel product lines with routine analysis, hull cell evaluations and customer service.
